Three days in the mysterious Edinburgh, the most important city of Scotland
Who has never been in Scotland I highly recommend this place. First of all Ryanair flights are available, as well as guest houses and B & B at very affordable prices. We decided to stay at the Dalmore Lodge Guest House in Edinburgh, a B & B midway between Edinburgh Airport and the city center, both reachable in 15 minutes the median highly efficient transport network in Scotland. Edinburgh is a wonderful city filled with unforgettable views. The Victorian buildings and the numerous subways and tunnels, making it rich with mystery. Must-see attractions are undoubtedly the Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood Palace, the Royal Mile that connects these two places, with its restaurants and souvenir shops. Also interesting is the national museum and the royal museum, free entrance to both. Among other attractions, most interesting is the museum exhibition, Our Dynamic Heart, showing paths through interactive, film and multimedia games in 4D birth and changes of the earth, from its formation to date. Obligations, and move to Rosslyn, the location of the mysterious church that legend has it in some way related to the knights of the temple.
The icing on the cake takes place in August at the Edinburgh Fringe festival and usually ends with a fantastic firework display, the Fireworks Concert. This year we were there (Sept. 5) and I can say I witnessed the most beautiful fireworks I have ever seen! Splendid fireworks are accompanied by the notes of the best soundtracks of all time.
Among the practical advice, I would stress that adversely affects the euro-sterling exchange rate it is better to start informed. At ATMs (cashmachine) you can withdraw cash in local currency with the most popular credit cards (including Visa Electron!! The useful Postepay).
I highly recommend this destination for fans of Nordic culture!
